| Discussion For This Site This particular web site is being generated for two reasons:
This website demonstrates a number of different HTML tags and formatting, to even include a little bit of javascript. The site was chosen to not use frames in favor of the current presentation. Future content added behind the opening page will most likely use frames. The opening page, however, felt like it needed to stand on it's own. With the only conrols in the center of the page, a frame is not needed. |
| Tables are used all over the place! Tables without borders allow me to enforce strict formatting on my pages. If you look at the source of the index.htm (the opening page with the bell on it), you'll see that there is a grid of cells strictly defined to hold sections of the larger bell image that is generated. |
| The second page uses document anchors as bookmarks to the different sections on the page. The page also has links to other websites and has an inline image. |
All of the art, except for the inline picture on the ceremony page is by my
creation. The inline image came from Fourth Presbyterian Church. The tools I used to
create this site were
That's it! |
| What about sound? Well, I don't intend on making my visitors wait around any longer than they have to. Besides, midi sound files that play on loading sound cheezy. I could've hosted Real Audio, but then I'd have to pay more for that. |
| No Animations? Well, I do have a mouse-over on the first page, isn't that good enough? Again, Anumations require a certain ammount of bandwidth to load. If the animation doesn't add significant impact to the site, then it probably shouldn't be there. I chose not to include any at this time, saving the loading time for higher-quality graphics. |
| For now, that is all! Remember, this is a project is working order, so check back from time to time! It's bound to grow! |
